Class II, II+, III, IV
The official WKC/PTCC runs will be 2s and 3s. But those wanting to put together their own posse to run the Class 4 Salmon Cascades section, are welcome to camp with us.
The Salmon Cascades(IV) section put-in, is within the Olympic National Park, thus you will need to pay $ to get through the gate.
All other runs only need the Discover Pass.
Camping at Klahowya Campground, which conveniently lies in the middle of all four runs. It costs $, and is first come first serve. I am planning on heading out on Thursday to grab camp sites. If it happens to be a beautiful sunny forecast, I'll head out earlier. All are welcome if you want to extend your 3 day weekend.
Saturday: Launch from Klahowya Campground and paddle to Hillstrom (Class II+)
Sunday: Bear Creek section (III) or Hatchery to Maxwell (II)
Monday: Leader's Choice
Any of these runs can be combined. There is also a Class (III) run from FR 2918 Bridge, ending at the Campground.
I'll make an email list of registrants so we can keep in communication.
*****In the case of flow too low**** I'll be watching water levels and 10 day weather forecast. We have a lot of snow, but it could all melt in one weekend, plus the Solduc is mostly rain dependent. I will make the cancellation call with time for everyone to make other paddling plans.
No limit on paddler number. However, if I'm already out on the river the Wednesday before, I won't be checking email :)
Shoot me an email with any questions!
