Welcome to Paddle Trails Canoe Club!!

We paddle canoes, kayaks and inflatables.   We paddle rivers, lakes and salt water.   We paddle for fun, adrenaline, scenery and wilderness.  Yep, we’re probably paddling something, somewhere right now!!  Paddle Trails Canoe Club (PTCC) is a supportive and inclusive community of paddlers who like to get out on water whenever we can and focus on safety and fun.  We invite you to take a few minutes to explore our site and, if you like what you see, to have you join us.  We always welcome new members.

 Fall Safety Class- UPDATE

Announcement! The annual safety clinic & refresher course, scheduled for August 15th, has been postponed. As water levels are still rather low, we feel that members will be better served with waiting until there is more water out there. Date is currently TBD, but we will announce a date as soon as water is flowing. This refresher will be held on a grade I-II river, and is appropriate for both new boaters, long time paddlers, and everyone in between.

Whitewater 101 - "We had a Blast!"

The amazing group of students of the 2015 Whitewater 101 Class session “B” all graduated with honors on Sunday, June 21st.  This session had 6 canoeists in 4 boats – 2 tandems and 2 solos.  This was a 4 day class conducted over 2 consecutive weekends between June 13th and 21st.

After last year’s cold weather, we made the decision to push the dates from late April - early May out until mid-June for this year’s class when we predicted that we’d have better weather.  Better weather we had - in spades! All 4 days were great; sunny and warm - ideal for getting wet and messing around in boats.  What we never would have predicted was that in June we wouldn’t have much water – but everything turned out great nevertheless!  Read the full story...
