We‘ll launch from Rotary Park in the Lowell section of Everett and go down the main river 5 miles, then down Steamboat Slough and finally Ebey Slough to Marysville, a total of about 10 1/2 miles. There will be a current with us the whole way. Picnic lunch in our boats mid-way. Car shuttle as soon as boats and gear are unloaded at the put-in. Although this is flatwater, the river is large and current sometimes strong so flotation is strongly advised.
Depending on water levels, we‘ll likely run a section of the Snoqualmie, Stillaguamish, or Sauk river.
Come out and enjoy the northern Olympic Peninsula for Presidents‘ Day weekend. Join us for paddling on Saturday and/or Sunday with a Monday option. This is a joint WKC and PTCC trip.
Assuming water levels cooperate, we’ll plan on running the Sol Duc River, which has Class II+ to III+ (and IV) options available. (There’s also the possibility of the nearby Calawah River).
Free camping is available at Bear Creek Campground (GPS: 48.066,-124.24), the DNR site off Highway 101.
We’ll meet at Bear Creek Campground on Saturday at 11 a.m. sharp.
An email with additional information will be sent to all registrants on Wednesday, February 15.
This is a joint trip with Washington Kayak Club.

Paddle a Class II River, stop at a nice beach, build a hot fire and roast some wieners! What a fun way to spend a winter day! River TBD based on the levels. *Important COVID-related notice Because we will be close to each other around the fire and share food, I request all participants to be fully vaccinated. The shuttle driver and/or other passengers may ask you to wear a mask. If you don‘t want to wear a mask properly, please arrange your own shuttle (bike, motorcycle, shuttle bunny). If you are sick with COVID, flu, cold or anything you may spread during this trip, please stay home.
Depending on water levels, we‘ll likely run a section of the Snoqualmie, Cedar, Stillaguamish, Skykomish, Green, or Sauk river. If you have a preference, please call or email me a few days before the trip so we can look at water level and weather forecasts.
Details tba, but hold the date for an optional paddle 4-5:45, salad and pizza dinner 6-7 and presentation to follow.
Come paddle the remote and wild Winchester Wasteway, outside of Moses Lake. This is a very long and scenic paddle. Paddlers will need to be comfortable on easy moving water but also be able to be out on the water for 5-6 hours. The river features lots of desert scenery and wildlife. Paddlers should have the stamina to be on the river all day and have paddled a similar distance in the past year or so. Please email Scott with any questions.

Please be sure to register online if you plan to come for the FREE breakfast.
We will start serving breakfast at 9:30.
As in previous years, Club officers will be cooking and serving PTCC members and their guests a full breakfast on the club. Breakfast will be followed with the annual rope throwing contests for distance and accuracy. Hopefully, those fierce competitors from north of the border will be able to once again sweep most of the competitions.
After festivities at the park are complete, you will have your choice between several paddling trips from Flatwater to Class III. All members and their guests are welcome. So, come join your paddling friends for a great breakfast followed by a day of canoeing.
Please register for the Spring Bash by May 15th so that we can be sure to have enough hash browns for everyone!
Note: we are returning to the Red Barn at Tolt-MacDonald Park in Carnation Washington now that it is back in service.
