What is this?
Some of the best flatwater lake paddling in the Greater Seattle area can be found on these two small lakes on the Sammamish Plateau. We'll start at the Beaver Lake launch (bring Discover Pass) and explore the various nooks and crannies of this charming lake, then have a picnic lunch. This may be outdoors at the picnic shelter in Beaver Lake Park, or in our vehicles if the cold temperature outweighs the charms of al fresco dining.
After lunch some or all of us will pop the canoes on our vehicles and drive 4 minutes down the road to Pine Lake to explore this equally charming small lake. Total paddling for the two lakes will be 6-7 miles.
