What is this?
Come out and enjoy the northern Olympic Peninsula for Presidents' Day weekend. Join us for paddling on Saturday and/or Sunday with a Monday option. This is a joint WKC and PTCC trip.
Assuming water levels cooperate, we’ll plan on running the Sol Duc River, which has Class II+ to III+ (and IV) options available. (There’s also the possibility of the nearby Calawah River).
Free camping is available at Bear Creek Campground (GPS: 48.066,-124.24), the DNR site off Highway 101.
We’ll meet at Bear Creek Campground on Saturday at 11 a.m. sharp.
An email with additional information will be sent to all registrants on Wednesday, February 15.
This is a joint trip with Washington Kayak Club.
