About this event
Explore the serene waters of Union Bay while spotting some of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic birds! This birding-focused paddle takes us through the Union Bay Natural Area, a haven for herons, kingfishers, ducks, and even bald eagles. The calm waters make this an ideal trip for paddlers of all experience levels. We can put in at Belvoir Place in Laurelhurst and spend 2–3 hours quietly paddling the area, stopping to observe wildlife and enjoy the natural beauty. Bring your binoculars, a field guide if you have one, and plenty of curiosity!
