We will paddle with a gentle boost from the flood tide up Ebey Slough from Marysville to wild and uninhabited Otter Island, where we will tuck into a side slough and have a "floating lunch." By the time lunch is over we should see the tide now ebbing and gently helping us back downstream. This is one of the more remote stretches of water in the Snohomish Estuary as we pass two area of recent habitat restoration. Good chance of seeing osprey, herons, eagles and more, and perhaps a few harbor seals for good measure. Total paddling distance 8 1/2 miles.
