Solo Whitewater Canoeing Fundamentals

A skills clinic for aspiring, beginner, and intermediate solo whitewater canoeists. We will go back to the fundamentals - starting on flat water with the forward stroke and progressing to the river with whitewater moves such as eddy turns, O-turns, S-turns, ferrying, and carving. If you don't have a solo canoe with float bags or gear, Paddle Trails members can rustle up a boat, paddle, and PFD, and throw bag for you. Dry suit is required and can be rented from Kayak Academy for the weekend for a reasonable price. Price of the class is $25 plus $25 yearly Paddle Trails membership.
